We colour hair the traditional Ayurvedic way, in two steps. First Mehendi (henna), then Indigo. There is no bleach, no ammonia and no chemical dye. Dr Priya colours her own hair this way.
What to expect
- It takes time. Two applications, each left on to develop. Plan for a long, relaxed session.
- Your shade is your own. The result depends on your natural colour, how many greys you have, any earlier colour, and how your hair takes the dye. It is never exactly the same on two people. That's part of its beauty.
- It cares for your hair. Henna coats and conditions the hair shaft, so many people find their hair feels thicker and shinier.
Coming from chemical colour? Tell us when you book. Plant colour can take differently on hair that was recently dyed or treated, and Dr Priya will check your hair first.
