Diwali begins the Abhyanga season

According to Ayurveda, winter (Hemant and Shishir ritu) is when Vata dosha increases. That brings dryness, stiffness and roughness to the skin and joints.

That's why our elders began the Abhyanga Snan ritual on Narak Chaturdashi: a warm oil massage followed by ubtan, to prepare the body for winter.

  • Abhyanga nourishes and strengthens the tissues, improves circulation and keeps the body supple.
  • Ubtan gently cleanses the skin, removing excess oil and impurities and leaving it soft and radiant.

Start a daily or weekly Abhyanga routine as winter sets in. Your body will thank you with warmth, glow and strength all season. Tradition wasn't just about beauty. It was wisdom for wellness.

Short on time for a home routine? Book an Abhyanga full body massage or body scrub.
